Are you someone with experience working with children with SEND?A Primary School in the BS13 area of South Bristol is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work on a 1 to 1 basis with a pupil in their Early Years Classroom.This school has a dedicated team of staff who work hard to ensure all their students can be ‘the best they can be’. They have a strong focus on providing a secure, safe and nurturing learning environment where everyone is valued.The RoleThis is a full-time position starting in the new academic year for a 1 Year fixed term contract.As a successful candidate, you must bring a calm and patient learning environment, where you can build a strong relationship quickly with pupils.Working closely with the Class Teacher, you should adapt activities and assess development to communicate progression.You will be expected to:
  • Have high expectations for the individual to succeed.
  • Have experience working with SEND children.
  • Work closely with the SENDCo to understand the child’s needs.
  • Create a stimulating and purposeful environment
  • Manage and Support with the child’s needs.
  • Assess and communicate the individuals’ successes and developments.
