
Peer Support Service Coordinator

- Developing, delivering and coordinating the provision of peer support, volunteer and group work to meet the needs of customers
- Recruiting and training new Peer Support Workers, Volunteers and Group Facilitators to support the service
- Promoting services to ensure effective uptake
- Reporting on service delivery whilst building and maintaining knowledge of local services
- Using initiative to identify sources of funding and submitting bids for future funding .
- Supporting the business to ensure the continued financial viability of peer support services and volunteer programmes
- Liaising with organisations to develop existing services
- Experience of working with a variety of client groups is essential
- Knowledge of the volunteer sector and associated agency support
- Counselling qualification from a BACP accredited course
- The ability to work to deadlines and prioritise work loads
- Excellent communication skills including clear written and spoken English
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, such as Word, Excel and email communications
- Travel will be a requirement of the role
