Applications are invited for a whole-time consultant histopathologist post that requires knowledge, skills and experience in general histopathology reporting as well as sub-specialty interest and experience in either Urology and/or Breast reporting and MDT work. The main laboratory is at the Royal Surrey County hub, with cut-up and reporting being retained at East Surrey Hospital. A programme to roll out digital pathology imaging across the BSPS network is currently underway. There are active working collaborations with the Surrey Cancer Centre at Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford and other acute sites across BSPS.There are opportunities for flexible working, including from home and at other hospital sites in the network, as well as for developing a role in clinical leadership, coronial work and academic, teaching and research activity through the Trust's active R&D department and its associations with Brighton & Sussex Medical School and the University of Surrey.About usBSPS serves six hospitals across five NHS Trusts: Ashford and St Peter's Hospital, Frimley Park Hospital, Wexham Park Hospital, Royal Surrey County Hospital, Royal Berkshire Hospital and East Surrey Hospital.East Surrey Hospital are a leading local employer with a diverse workforce of approximately 6,000 staff, dedicated to providing healthcare services to a growing population of around 780,000 individuals.Our Trust provides both emergency and planned healthcare across East Surrey, North-East West Sussex, and South Croydon - covering towns like Crawley, Horsham, Reigate, and Redhill.
