Teaching AssistantLocation: YorkStart Date: April 2024Working Hours: Full Time (roughly 35 per week)Vision for Education are looking for a patient and dedicated Teaching Assistant to work in one of our popular client schools in York from the Easter holidays onward. This role would be working across key stages with children requiring extra academic and behavioural support. The role is varied and would involve working on a 1:1 level and in small groups. This is a full-time, long-term role with the potential of moving onto a permanent contract.To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant you will:
  • Have experience working in education/care
  • Be a patient, caring and enthusiastic person with a genuine desire to make a difference in the classroom
  • Have or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  • Have excellent communication skills with the ability to build good rapport with students
  • Be comfortable helping teachers wherever necessary in the classroom and provide additional feedback on student progress when required
