
Assistant Director, M&A, Financial Due Diligence - Private Equity

- Be a key day to day lead on engagements, leading client interactions and managing overall progress of the project
- Quickly build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and be able to co-ordinate a diverse range of workstreams
- Quickly develop an understanding of the target business and its drivers
- Interpret and analyse information memoranda, business plans and publicly available information on the target business
- Review and analyse historical financial information, including historical trading, cash flow and balance sheets
- Review and analyse projections and the underlying assumptions
- Review the adequacy of working capital facilities, including consideration of financing limits, term and covenants
- Report potential key issues for our client, including identification of risk or price affecting considerations
- Lead on the preparation and drafting of due diligence reports
- Review the sale and purchase agreement and correlate findings of due diligence process therein
- Review financial structures and associated credit agreements
- Lead and develop service offerings and evolving propositions to drive practice growth
- Lead training and develop team members in role
- Manage diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution
- An ACA or equivalent qualification, or equivalent experience
- Exceptional academic background or equivalent experience
- Previous experience with financial due diligence and transaction services or equivalent
- Experience of corporate and private equity transactions or equivalent
- Proven ability to write and review concise, high-quality reports, with appropriate focus on attention to detail and effectively communicating complex financial information. Also demonstrate a strong understanding of risk management principles and their application within report writing.
- Advanced excel skills, including working with Power Pivot, to efficiently analyse and interpret large data sets to provide insightful conclusions
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, analyse, and resolve complex issues efficiently and effectively Experience of operating with senior level stakeholders both internally and externally
- Experience in leading business development, from opportunity identification to conversion into sales
- Experience in building and managing client relationships
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Great presentation skills
- Full travel mobility
- Flexibility for international travel
- Fluency in a major European foreign language would be an advantage
- Strong commercial acumen and market awareness
- Understanding and practical application of AI tools within a financial due diligence context.
