
Nursing Quality Manager South East /Midlands

- Provide guidance and oversight to PICs in maintaining high standards of care aligned with HIQA
- regulations and Sonas policies.
- Lead the implementation of quality assurance systems, audits, and improvement plans.
- Act as a subject matter expert for compliance, governance, and regulatory updates, ensuring PICs
- and teams are informed and prepared.
- Plan and conduct regular audits across all homes to monitor compliance, safety, and care quality.
- Develop corrective action plans and provide structured feedback to PICs and relevant teams.
- Maintain accurate records of audit outcomes and ensure follow-through on recommendations.
- Assist in developing, reviewing, and updating policies and procedures in line with national standards.
- Ensure all homes implement Sonas policies consistently and support local adaptation as required.
- Training & Mentorship:
- Mentor PICs in best practices for clinical governance and compliance.
- Support training needs analysis and contribute to the development of staff trainingprogrammes.
- Promote a learning culture that values continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Oversee the implementation of safeguarding frameworks across all homes.
- Monitor incident reporting, risk registers, and complaints to identify trends and promote early
- intervention.
- Collaborate with teams to reduce risk and ensure appropriate escalation and follow-up procedures
- are in place.
- Reporting & Strategic Support:
- Prepare regular reports on quality metrics, compliance status,and improvement initiatives for the
- Executive Team and Board.
- Participate in strategic planning, contributing insights and data to shape the quality agenda across the
- group.
- Collaborate on organisational initiatives that support service excellence, sustainability, and
- innovation.
- Registered Nurse with current NMBI registration.
- Postgraduate qualification in healthcare management, quality improvement, or clinical governance
- (essential).
- Qualification in auditing or risk management (desirable).
- Full Irish driver's license (essential) and willingness to travel across sites.
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a quality, governance, or compliance role within healthcare.
- In-depth knowledge of HIQA standards, healthcare regulations, and person-centered care frameworks.
- Proven ability to lead audits, manage risk, and support teams in a regulatory environment.
- Strong analytical, report-writing, and communication skills.
- Experience delivering training and mentoring others on quality and compliance topics.
- Ability to work independently while fostering cross-functional collaboration.
