- Strategically lead and develop the school's SEN provision.
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the SEN policy and co-ordinate provision for students with SEN.
- Liaise with and advise fellow teachers on the effective teaching and learning of students with SEN.
- Monitor student progress and the effectiveness of interventions.
- Work in partnership with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice.
- Contribute to the professional development of staff in the area of special educational needs.
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Has proven experience and a genuine passion for supporting young people with Autism.
- Possesses a thorough knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice.
- Has excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Is a resilient, creative, and strategic thinker.
- Preferably holds the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO), or has a willingness to complete it.
