- Identify and pro-actively support access to a comprehensive range of resources to support recovery within the prison and community post release.
- Strong multidisciplinary engagement, including safer custody and prison offender management.
- Identify and encourage service users requiring the offer of family support.
- Develop service questionnaires, recovery hubs and focus groups being innovative and motivational.
- You will support with the Mandatory Drug Testing pathway, ensuring our service is offered to those that need it and harm reduction advice is discussed.
- Provide support and guidance, empowering people and providing them with the skills and confidence to be able to maintainand continue to make positive life choices
- Offer some administrative, clerical, and general office support to the Prison teams designed to contribute towards the Service aims and objectives.
- Advocate for individuals in a multi-agency setting where needed.
- Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to work flexibly as part of a team.
- The ability to respond to appropriate requests for assistance, maintaining confidentiality whenever necessary.
- A clear understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding and boundaries.
- Knowledge of referral pathways for safeguarding concerns.
- Good organisational skills.
- Communicate confidently and effectively, verbally and in writing.
- Respond flexibly to the demands of the post.
- Show a capacity to work alone and the ability to keep calm under pressure.
- 25 days holiday (+ bank holidays) rising by 1 day for each years’ service (pro rata for PT) “Capped at 30 days”
