SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Mainstream Primary - WokingCompany: AcademicsSector: Education and TrainingLocation: WokingAre you a passionate and experienced HLTA looking to support children with special educational needs in a mainstream primary school setting?We are seeking a SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Woking, supporting pupils aged 4-11 on a 1:1 basis or in small group interventions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on making a real difference in children's educational journeys-particularly those with ASD, social-emotional needs, or anxiety-related challenges.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of SEN needs
  • Support emotional regulation and build resilience in pupils
  • Promote positive relationships and social skills development
  • Assist in managing behaviour in a nurturing and proactive way
  • Foster pupils' self-esteem, confidence, and independence
  • Collaborate with class teachers and the SENCo to plan and deliver tailored interventions
  • Contribute to EHCP targets and regular pupil progress reviews
