The Yard Foreman supervises yard operatives, maintains stock control, enforces safety procedures, and supports the branch in achieving operational goals.The RequirementsPrevious experience working in a builders’ merchant or similar yard-based environmentExperience supervising a team or acting as a senior yard operativeForklift licence (Counterbalance or Sideloader preferred)Good understanding of manual handling and safe working practicesAbility to lead a team with confidence, fairness, and efficiencyStrong customer service and communication skillsBasic computer or handheld scanner skills for stock control systemsPhysically fit and able to work outdoors in all weathers
