We are seeking a passionate and skilled Teacher of Food Technology to join a well-established secondary school in Dunstable from September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity to deliver engaging and practical Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop culinary skills, food science knowledge, and an understanding of nutrition.You will be part of a supportive department focused on high standards, student development, and professional growth, contributing to both curriculum delivery and extracurricular activities.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4Prepare students for GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition assessmentsMonitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedbackDevelop creative and varied schemes of work to meet diverse learner needsSupport extracurricular activities such as cooking clubs or food-related eventsMaintain a safe and engaging practical environmentCollaborate with colleagues to develop the Food Technology curriculumRequirementsQualified Teacher Status (QTS)Experience teaching Food Technology or Food Preparation and Nutrition at secondary levelStrong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for food educationExcellent classroom and practical workshop management skillsCommitment to student well-being and successEnhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
