We are looking for an experienced and strategic leader to head our International Support, Advice and Compliance team. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of international student support, advice, and visa compliance at London Metropolitan University.As the University's Key Contact with UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI), you will ensure we meet our obligations as a Student Sponsor and continue to offer exceptional support to our international student community.Key Responsibilities
- Lead the University's student visa compliance function, ensuring full adherence to UKVI regulations and duties as a licensed Student Sponsor.
- Provide strategic advice and specialist guidance on international compliance to the Senior Leadership Team.
- Shape and define the University's international student compliance framework and service provision.
- Oversee the delivery of high-quality support services and events tailored to the needs of international students.
- Promote awareness across the institution of UKVI requirements, legislative changes, and compliance responsibilities.
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders including the Vice-Chancellor's Office, Student Recruitment, Schools, Human Resources, and the Students' Union.
- Monitor risk, maintain accurate management information, and report regularly to senior leadership on compliance matters.
- Manage the team's operations, strategy, and budget.
- Significant experience in international student support and UK immigration compliance.
- Proven leadership and strategic planning skills.
- A deep understanding of UKVI regulations and the Higher Education sector.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- A strong commitment to enhancing the international student experience.
