Milk Education are working with an Specialist Secondary school in Southwark, who are looking to appoint a full time English Teacher. You will be expected to teach students across all classes, Teaching 11-16 years, across KS2 Phase - GCSE. All classes have multiple support staff, and as a forward thinking teacher you will be expected to create and adapt lessons to all students needs and preferred learning techniques. This rewarding roles, allows you to instil confidence and improve learning and development of students, with a particular focus on Teaching English. As the students teacher you can expect to have a maximum of 8 students in lessons, along with support staff.Monday - Friday8:30-16:00Long term - After EasterNon-Negotiables:
  • QTLS or QTS with specialism in English
  • Understanding of Autism, SEMH and behaviours that challenge
  • Available full time
  • Previous experience teaching the UK Curriculum
  • Effectively deliver pre-planned work
The Role and Responsibilities:
  • Teaching all areas of the KS2 Phase - KS4 Curriculum
  • Taking responsibility for the progress of a class of secondary-age pupils
  • Organising the classroom and learning resources and creating displays to encourage a positive learning environment
  • Motivating pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
  • Confident in SEN, SEMH and De-escalation
Required Skills & Experience:
  • SEN/SEMH Experience
  • Recent experience in a School
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Energy, enthusiasm, patience, dedication, resilience, and self-discipline.
