Key Responsibilities:This role presents an opportunity to join a dynamic and constantly evolving manufacturing operation which has a reputation for World Class performance and is regarded as an industry leader in its field. The finance function supports this site through the provision of accurate and timely reporting as well as partnering with
other functions to identify opportunities for improvements at all levels. This role is within our costing team who support the following activities.Costing Team Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and support the achievement of Cycle Count metrics to ensure adherence to SOX control requirements by liaising with logistics team on the cycle count plan for the year and monitoring progress.
  • Support standard setting process and the successful completion of annual cost roll
  • Ensure compliance with capitalized engineering accounting treatment including applying the correct treatment to programs as advised by seating group, accurately calculating the accounting adjustments to Sales and Cost of Sales for actuals and forecasting
  • Ensure compliance with ‘over time’ revenue recognition guidelines including applying the correct treatment to programs as advised by seating group, accurately calculating the revenue recognition adjustments to Sales and Cost of Sales for actuals and forecasting
  • Prepare journals and balance sheets reconciliations
  • Deliver value added variance and transactional analysis on materials, labour, inventory, freight, scrap & inventory adjustments
  • Support the provision of requested information to all stakeholders, including internal & external auditors
  • Perform other related duties as required
Key Requirements:
  • Hold or working towards a qualification with one of the recognized UK/Ireland Accounting Bodies (i.e. CIMA, ACCA, ICAI or ICAEW).
  • Strong PC skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Proven problem-solving skills, demonstrating analysis and decision-making competence
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work confidently with other departments.
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Manufacturing costing experience
