This role is primarily operational and delivery-focused, ensuring prompt and accurate response to incidents, maintaining proactive threat detection practices, and supporting vulnerability and penetration testing across the institution’s digital estate.We’re looking for a motivated and technically proficient individual to join as a Junior Cyber Security Analyst. In this hands-on role, you’ll work under the guidance of the Head of Cyber Security and alongside the Cyber Security Analyst to deliver core security operations. You’ll be responsible for scanning, testing, and monitoring the University’s digital estate, maintaining key security toolsets, and developing automation to boost efficiency and response times. From analysing logs and investigating phishing and malware alerts, you will get exposure to conducting authorised penetration testing and generating actionable insights, your work will directly enhance our cyber resilience.This is a fantastic opportunity for an early-career professional eager to build specialist skills in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
