Location: Shrewsbury, ShropshireProtocol Education is working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Shrewsbury to recruit a Level 3 Teaching Assistant. The school is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic individual to join their team and support pupils academically and pastorally.About the Role:
You will work closely with the teaching team and other support staff to ensure a positive and engaging learning environment. The role includes assisting in class, supporting pupils with SEND and social/emotional needs, and covering classes when required.Key Responsibilities:Supporting pupils in their learning and personal developmentImplementing behaviour strategies and supporting positive classroom managementWorking under the direction of the class teacher, while also taking initiative and ownership of tasksProviding 1:1 or group support, including for children with SENSupervising pupils during lunch periods as requiredDelivering pre-planned lessons in the teacher’s absence (when needed)Requirements:Level 3 qualification in Teaching and Learning (or equivalent e.g. HLTA)Experience working in a primary school settingUnderstanding of supporting children with social, emotional, and additional learning needsStrong literacy and numeracy skillsOrganised, proactive, and professional approachCommitment to supporting the Catholic ethos and mission of the school (faith not required but respect and support for the ethos is essential)What Protocol Education Offers:Weekly pay with PAYE – no hidden feesAccess to free CPD and trainingPersonalised support from a dedicated consultantOpportunities across a wid
