We are looking for an experienced network engineer to act as a Gigamon SME as part of a team involved in the rollout of a large Cyber Project for large government client.
- Working under the direction of a team lead remote configuration of hardware.
- Build & Configure and Harden Juniper switches as per build guides.
- Build and configure Gigamon physical device and connect/onboard to Gigavue FM Management server.
- Extensive network engineer experience. Demonstrate network projects (preferably Cisco) where you have worked in a team to implement hardware into customer sites. N.B. The plan will be to use experience Gigamon resources within the team to provide assistance to bring individuals up to speed.
- Have the ability to work well within a team and develop a positive working relationship with other project teams.
- Have good and clear communications when interacting with peers, management, and customers.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Experience working for large government customers.
- Positive can-do attitude.
- Self-starter who can implement solutions with minimal supervision and can think through any issues and report back regarding issue and recommendation to fix.
- Visit to customer sites to install hardware within racks.
- Remote support of hardware during customer testing.
- Provide updates to the PM and team lead regarding progress.
- Engagement with service teams to ensure that new hardware is effectively taken into support.
- You will need to be onsite 4/5 days a week during the role duration to enable access to the Production environment.
- Applicants may need to flexible in terms of hours worked because some implementations are likely outside normal working hours due to customer day to day activities.
