Vehicle Technician Required for an Independent Dealer in Greater Newcastle
  • Basic salary of up to c.£38,000 with overtime available to maximise your earnings.
  • OTE of c.£42,000 - no reliance on any efficiency bonuses!

My client, an independent car dealer, is recruiting for an experienced technician/ MOT Tester to join their workshop in Greater Newcastle. This client is passionate about investing in his team and has invested over £250,000 into recent workshop developments to ensure you will be in the best working environment to succeed.The ideal Vehicle Technician will have several years post qualification experience and will be capable of a full range of jobs to achieve the top level salary. An MOT licence would be desirable for the role, but not essential as the main work would be focused on the mechanical side.   • Conduct routine maintenance and servicing of vehicle to manufacturer standards.
  • Perform mechanical diagnostics and repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems and other vehicle components.
  • Complete MOT pre-checks and assist with repairs where necessary.
  • Utilise modern diagnostic equipment provided in the recently upgraded workshop to accurately identify faults and carry out repairs efficiently.
  • Maintaining detailed service and repair records in line with company procedures.
  • Ensuring all work is carried out safely, meeting health and safety standards and maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
  • Providing excellent customer service, communicating technical issues clearly and professionally when needed.
