- Own, define, document, and maintain data governance artefacts (e.g., policies, processes, guardrails etc), collaborating and aligning with stakeholders across the organisation.
- Own and maintain the data governance framework, enabling the quality, security, and usability of data.
- Own the resolution of any issues identified within our policies and processes and proactively manage data risk accordingly.
- Own the communication and education of various stakeholders within Kingfisher, contributing to the embedding of a data driven culture.
- Own, evolve and maintain a data quality framework and how to implement the framework.
- Coordinate and collaborate with stakeholders to agree and catalogue key definitions and calculations for key business metrics.
- Manage a network of stakeholders, setting clear priorities and expectations.
- Experience operating data management tools, for example data catalogue (e.g. Collibra, Alation etc), data quality (e.g. Collibra, Anomalo etc).
- Able to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK, COBIT) and standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001, GDPR).
- Knowledge of applying data management principles to practical scenarios, with a good understanding of data quality, governance & protection best practices.
- Experience conducting data profiling and analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Experience communicating effectively across team(s), technical/business stakeholders.
- Experience dealing with complex business change, encouraging and supporting others through the change curve.
