We’re recruiting for a well-established engineering company in Walsall offering a temp-to-perm role, excellent working hours, competitive pay, and an immediate start.What’s on offerHourly pay between £15 and £18, depending on experience, with weekly pay. Working hours are Monday to Thursday, 7.30am to 4.30pm, with an early finish at 12.30pm on Fridays. This is a long-term temp-to-perm opportunity within a clean, well-equipped workshop and a supportive team environment.Role OverviewAs a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC machines using Heidenhain or FANUC controls. You’ll be expected to create or edit programs, interpret technical drawings, perform first-off and in-process inspections, and contribute to production targets while maintaining quality standards.Key RequirementsYou must have proven experience as a CNC Programmer with the ability to program from scratch or edit existing programs. A strong understanding of Heidenhain or FANUC controls is essential. You should be confident in reading engineering drawings, selecting tooling, and carrying out quality checks using micrometres, verniers, and other precision instruments.
