Hours: Full-time. Monday to Wednesday 07:00 – 17:00 and Thursday 07:00 – 16:30Hourly Pay Rate: £12.50Are you an experienced Fabrication Operator looking for a new opportunity with long-term potential?Our client is seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join their Materials Preparation team in Calne. This role offers a temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate, working within a fast-paced environment where quality, safety, and efficiency are key.The RoleAs a Fast Track & Fabrication Operator, you will work as part of a dedicated team to support the Materials Preparation facility. You will be responsible for preparing materials for both external service centre sales and internal downstream manufacturing requirements.Key Responsibilities include:
- Setting and operating CNC Waterjet Cutting equipment.
- Setting and operating Rolling Mills, Vacuum Furnace equipment, guillotines, saws and grinders.
- Carrying out fabrication and welding work from customer drawings using hand tools.
- Using test equipment to ensure material specifications are met.
- Raw material stock control and booking jobs into the system.
- Despatching prepared materials to meet customer deadlines.
- Maintaining 5S and TPM standards within the department.
- Experience of CNC controlled Waterjet Cutting equipment.
- Knowledge of metal working, fabrication, and welding techniques.
- Ability to set and operate guillotines, saws, grinders, and vacuum furnace operations.
- Numerate, computer literate, and confident using stock/warehouse systems.
- Previous warehouse/stock control experience.
- Temp to Perm opportunity.
