Salary: £12.21 per hour / £9,848.10 per annumAbout the RoleWe’re looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our catering team at WQE in Leicester. This is a part-time, term-time only role ideal for someone seeking regular weekday hours with no weekend work.You’ll be an important part of our daily food service, helping prepare fresh food, assisting with front-of-house tasks, and ensuring all areas are kept clean and welcoming. Full training will be provided, and we support all staff in becoming multi-skilled and confident in all areas of service.Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve food including sandwiches and cold items
  • Assist with table clearing, service, and wash-up duties
  • Support stock rotation and restocking of supplies
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and front-of-house areas, including sweeping and mopping
  • Follow all safety and hygiene procedures to a high standard
  • Contribute to a flexible and team-oriented environment
What We’re Looking For
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required
  • Comfortable with the physical demands of the role (e.g., standing, bending, lifting)
  • Prior experience in a catering or kitchen environment is a plus, but not essential – full training provided
