- To assist with patient care, hoisting, changing, moving and administration of patients within the Imaging department, and continue that care where necessary throughout the imaging process.
- To assist healthcare professionals in performing imaging procedures eg. room preparation, preparation of contrast media, chaperoning of patients and general patient care.
- To support infection control measures in the Imaging Department, eg. assist with preparation of rooms and cleaning up afterwards.
- To be responsible for the general cleaning and assist in quality assurance programmes for associated equipment.
- To be responsible for stock control in area.
- To assist in the training of new non-radiographic staff, enabling them to become fully conversant with the duties applicable to them.
- To be familiar with, and comply with, the Health & Safety, Ionising Radiation and COSHH policies as outlined by the Trust or department.
- To ensure that all clinical and other information records are fully and accurately completed, including the radiology computer system and hospital information system
