Teaching AssistantFull TimeKilburnThis School is currently seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join the Inclusion Department at the earliest opportunity. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional communication and organizational skills, along with the ability to provide calm and professional support in mainstream classes. Reporting to the SEN Manager, this role plays a crucial part in contributing to the school's vibrant and successful environment.Key Responsibilities:Under the guidance of the class teacher/SENCO/SEN Manager, supervise and provide support for students with SEN, ensuring effective learning in both individual and group settings, considering their specific needs.Support students in developing basic skills such as language, reading, writing, spelling, mathematics, concentration, and social skills.Assist in enhancing students' ICT skills and facilitate the use of ICT in learning activities.Prepare suitable work for students under the teacher's guidance.Create or adapt resources (e.g., worksheets, sight cards) to facilitate students' access to the curriculum at their understanding level.Liaise closely with the class teacher and external professionals to implement intervention and therapy programs.Monitor students' progress and report on achievements or developments.Assist students with daily living tasks, including personal care, monitoring conditions, and potential support with medication and feeding requirements.Establish positive relationships with parents/carers.Provide information and feedback in accordance with guidelines from the teacher.Support students' emotional and social needs by modeling positive behavior and maintaining high expectations of work and behavior, aligning with the school's Behavior policy.Adhere to policies and procedures related to child protection, health, safety, security, confidentiality, and data protection.Report all concerns to the appropriate person.Accompany students on school visits, trips, and other activities as required.Attend relevant meetings, training opportunities, and performance development sessions.
