(Advantages)Competitive pay scaleExcellent opportunities for professional development and training (CPD)A highly supportive and collaborative work environmentThe chance to make a real difference in children's livesFree tea and coffee in our staff roomPension scheme contributionGenuine opportunities for career progression within the schoolBe part of a welcoming and friendly teamFull access to school resources and support to help you succeedYour Role (Responsibilities)Support the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) national curriculum.Work with individual pupils or small groups to reinforce learning, providing targeted support in literacy and numeracy (including phonics and guided reading).Assist in preparing the classroom environment, setting up displays and learning resources.Help manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere.Observe, monitor, and record pupil progress, providing valuable feedback to the teacher.Supervise students during non-classroom time (e.g., break times, lunchtimes) to ensure their safety and well-being.Support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), working closely with the SENCO to implement individual support plans (EHCPs).Contribute to a positive, stimulating, and supportive learning environment for all students.What We Are Looking For (Qualifications)We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who:Has a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.Is patient, adaptable, and has a consistently positive attitude.Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with children, staff, and parents.Can work effectively as part of a team and demonstrate initiative when required.Is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.(Desirable) Has previous experience working with children in a primary school setting.(Desirable) Holds a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) or a degree in a related field.Must hold or be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.How to ApplyIf you are a dedicated and enthusiastic individual ready to take the next step in your career in education, we would love to hear from you.
