It’s the ideal role for an engineer ready to stop fixing faults and start shaping projects, while still using their technical expertise daily. And progression isn’t just a promise — the last person in this role is now the Sales Manager. From here, you could move into senior technical leadership, product management, or sales.What’s on offer
  • £60,000–£80,000 basic depending on experience

What you’ll be doing
  • Acting as the link between sales, design, and project delivery teams
  • Translating customer needs into tailored UPS and data centre solutions
  • Preparing quotes and presenting solutions with confidence
  • Reading electrical drawings and specifications to inform designs
  • Coordinating with engineering, procurement, and product management
  • Producing BOMs, calculations, and supporting documents
  • Delivering technical training and representing the business at industry events
What you’ll need
  • Strong technical background in data centres, UPS, or other critical power environments
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical designs and specifications
  • Knowledge of UPS systems, batteries (Li-ion & VRLA), LV switchboards, and busways
  • Confident communicator with both technical and commercial stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel occasionally in the UK/Ireland and overseas for training
