Purpose of the RoleWe have a requirement for a 6-month Fixed Term Contract and are looking for an experienced IT Asset Management Analyst to join a fast-paced team in the Legal Sector. A keen eye for detail, figures with an interest in analysing data are essential attributes. The IT Asset Management Analyst will spend time learning the processes that currently exist within the ITAM team, specifically around requesting quotes from vendors, receiving goods and updating purchase orders within Service Now, our asset management and tasks repository, Hardware Asset Management and some residual Starters, Movers & Leavers tasks. The IT Asset Management Analyst will participate in the implementation of procedures for tracking company IT hardware and software assets over their lifecycles, whilst providing a high-quality customer service experience to the firm.A keen interest in software and hardware management and the processes that underpin it, are essential if you are to get the best from this role. Although this role is based in Leeds, some working from home is possible and travel to other offices may be occasionally requested but only by mutual agreement.Duties
  • Perform inventories and usage monitoring of all IT hardware, software assets and record all findings, changes, physical location into the Firm's ITSM toolkit (ServiceNow)
  • Requesting quotes for hardware and software, assessing pricing and seeking approvals to ensure orders are placed efficiently
  • Creating and updating Purchase Orders, ensuring all good have been delivered to site.
  • Vendor Management and understanding key contracts that ITAM own.
  • Creating transfer orders when IT kit is being sent site to site, ensuring delivery is checked and transfer order updated on SN.
  • Taking ownership of incidents and requests through to completion, ensuring regular and informed updates are provided to the requestor
  • Disposals - involvement in asset life cycle ensuring all old kit is collected by preferred disposal companies, and Service Now is updated with all disposal certificate information.
  • Ensure the accurate processing of “Starters, Movers, Leavers” through the Firm's IT systems
  • Maintaining the information within the Mobile phone portal for Vodafone, setting up new numbers and ensuring all leavers numbers are disconnected. Analysing the monthly report to ensure all data is correct.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
  • Knowledge and experience of administering Service Now, particularly the Asset Management Database
  • Good level of experience in IT asset management lifecycle processes
  • Good level of experience in IT procurement, raising purchase orders and receiving stock
  • Understand the ITIL framework, particularly around Asset Management, Request fulfilment / Configuration management
  • Good understanding of desktop/laptop hardware
  • Proactively identifies areas for improvement, shares lessons learned with colleagues and encourages others to do the same
  • Customer focused with a passion and drive to deliver customer satisfaction and value to the business
  • Ability to handle concurrent tasks with appropriate priority
  • Ability to work independently and interact with project and support teams effectively
