– Provide professional, independent advice to the Fostering Panel and Agency Decision Maker to ensure children in foster care receive high-quality care.
– Uphold fostering regulations while quality-assuring panel reports and processes.
– Facilitate panel meetings and provide expert advice on case permanency and long-term planning for children’s futures.
– Contribute to the development of fostering policies while recruiting and training panel members.
– Collaborate closely with social workers to promote child-centred planning and ensure the best outcomes for children in foster care.Requirements of the Advanced Practitioner:
– Degree or equivalent in social work with a valid Social Work England registration.
– Significant frontline experience in the UK’s Social Services as a qualified Social Worker.
