
Senior Payroll Specialist

- Process payroll for multiple countries within EMEA/APAC, including review and approve colleagues payroll as backup to Sr. Payroll Manager
- Maintain all payroll records appropriately
- Support payroll journal entries with Accounting
- Process new hires, changes and terminations in an accurate and timely manner with payroll provider to ensure smooth data transfer
- Ensure a high level of customer service is provided on a broad range of employee services related issues (time and attendance, overtime, taxation, equity, etc)
- Uphold a strong internal controls environment, as required by Sarbanes Oxley, by maintaining effective controls and procedures
- Communicate and actively partner with HR, Legal, Finance and other senior management as needed on all payroll related matters
- Support Payroll manager when required on projects
- Ensure consistency in the delivery of global payroll to employees and maintain reliability in meeting deadlines, understanding employee and management needs, troubleshooting effectively to ensure optimal global payroll operations
- Recommend process/system enhancements to streamline the current payroll process to ensure efficient and timely payrolls
- 5 - 8 years related global payroll experience in a corporate or business setting
- Demonstrated knowledge of employment tax laws and regulations
- Demonstrated, hands-on experience with global HR & Payroll systems such as: Workday, ADP Streamline, PwC, etc
- Ability to handle highly confidential information with appropriate discretion and sensitivity
- Excellent interpersonal verbal, written, and presentation skills in communication with external and internal stakeholders at all levels
- Have a strong appreciation for driving data integrity, process improvement and high-quality service leveraging information and technology
- Highly analytical with Excellent Excel skills
- Strong customer service orientation for our internal partners and company’s employees
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as required, in a fast-paced, matrixed, team environment consisting of internal and external team members
- Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
- Excellent planning, organization and time management skills including the ability to support and prioritize multiple projects
- Special knowledge or skills and/or licenses or certificates preferred.
- Experience working in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or related environment.
