We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join a vibrant and nurturing nursery in Stafford. This is a fantastic opportunity to support young children in their early years development!The RoleWe are looking for a passionate Nursery Assistant to help provide high-quality care and learning experiences for children in their early years. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the development and well-being of children aged 0-5, helping to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment.Key Responsibilities- Assist in the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities and lessons that support children's development.- Provide one-on-one and small group support to children, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive development.- Support children with additional needs, adapting resources and activities to ensure all children are included.- Assist in the daily care of children, including feeding, toileting, and helping with personal hygiene. ️- Help maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment for children to learn and play.- Encourage positive behaviour and help to manage children's behaviour in a supportive manner.- Work with the team to assess children’s progress and support their development through play and structured activities.- Supervise children during break times and other nursery activities.Minimum RequirementsTo be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:- Experience: At least 1 year of experience working in a nursery or similar early years setting.- Qualifications: A level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.- All applicants must undergo an enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce) prior to working if not already in possession of one that is registered to the update service.
