- Leading on the customer complaint (SR) process and customer support requests.
- Leading on Supplier Quality involving: Scheduling, undertaking and report writing of new supplier audits, overseeing supplier NCR's.
- Leading on internal Quality issues involving preliminary investigations, raising NCR, liaising with other departments to resolve the issue.
- Overseeing and provide guidance on the calibration process.
- Providing support in the team on witness inspections activities including scheduling, pre-visit documentation pack preparation; accompanying inspector during visit and ensuring the relevant paperwork is obtained and shared with the customer.
- Providing support in the team for the development of the Quality Management system such as annual SOP reviews and where appropriate updates, developing new Quality procedures and undertaking quality reviews in other departments.
- Provide support in the team on internal auditing against the agreed audit schedule, including planning, executing and reporting on the audit and dealing with NCRs/close out.
- Providing support in the team with final certification administration.
- Contributing to the departmental month end reporting.
- Level 3 Engineering or quality qualification
- 3-5 years of working experience in quality engineering or similar
- Proficiency in English language (verbal and written)
- Experience of working in an engineering/manufacturing environment
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of quality tools e.g. 8D/Six Sigma
- Quality and Mechanical Engineering background and ideally a Valve (ASME)/ pressure vessel knowledge/experience
- General understanding of engineering materials and treatments
- Competent to read and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications and able to convey the requirements to others/suppliers
