Teaching Assistant

- Support classroom teachers in delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages 1 - 4
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with varying learning needs
- Assist with classroom preparation, including setting up resources and displays
- Support pupils with special educational needs under the guidance of the SENCO
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
- Assist with playground supervision and extracurricular activities
- Support assessment and record-keeping as directed by teaching staff
- Encourage pupils' social and emotional development
- GCSE grades A-C (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
- Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine care for children's wellbeing
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability in a busy school environment
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
- Experience supporting children with SEND
- Knowledge of phonics and early reading strategies
- First Aid certification
- Additional skills such as music, sports, or creative arts
