What you'll do: In this role, you'll be responsible for the routine servicing and defect rectification of our Embraer E190 fleet, operating in one of the most unique and challenging airport environments in Europe. You'll also play a key role in AOG recovery and help maintain a safe, compliant, and high-performance operation in a fast-paced setting where precision and teamwork are everything. What you'll bring to BA Cityflyer: You'll be able to demonstrate sound knowledge of current CAA Part 145 procedures, flexible in your approach to meet our operational challenges at London City Airport and across the network using some of the latest technology. Your experience: UK CAA Part 66 B1.1 Licence with one type rating held Ability to hold an airport restricted pass and hold an airside driving permit Experience with both scheduled and unscheduled line maintenance Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Current Embraer 190 type rating is desirable however type training will be provided to successful candidates. Key Details: - Shift Pattern: 5 on, 5 off, 5 on, 4 off, 4 on, 5 off - Shift Times: 12-hour shifts (05:30-17:30 and 17:30-05:30), covering both days and nights - Team Structure: 6 engineers per shift - Location Benefits: Free parking close to the airport and direct access to aircraft without the need for shuttle buses What We Offer: - Type Training: we welcome applicants with a CAA B1 license on any aircraft type. Successful candidates will be supported through a type rating course (bonded for 2 years, valued between £7,000 - £10,000) - Working on a single modern aircraft type, allowing for deep technical expertise and exposure to the full aircraft - Recency Support: Ideally seeking engineers with recent experience, but we can support return to recency within 2-3 months Benefits Summary Pension - enrolled as a member of the BA Cityflyer Pension Plan at a default contribution level of 4% employee, 6% employer with the option to increase employee contributions.
