Join Howden - a global leader in manufacturing critical air and gas handling equipment - as a temporary Quality Control Inspector at our Renfrew facility for 6 months. We have a strong corporate identity and a clear purpose - you will be a member of our team shaping the future of the company and participating in helping our customers tackle some of the planet's most pressing issues.What will you do?As a QC Inspector, you'll be the gatekeeper of quality. You will:
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections on components and fabrications to ensure they meet engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Verify functional testing and ensure it meets project criteria.
  • Calibrate precision measuring and inspection devices.
  • Compile and maintain inspection reports and records to meet company standards.
  • Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams, as well as customers, to support project delivery.
  • Travel (up to 20%) for onsite inspections, sometimes at short notice, including international assignments.
What do you bring?An ideal candidate would likely have the following profile:
  • Strong practical experience with precision measuring instruments or a formal qualification in Metrology
  • Proven ability to interpret and work with technical drawings, particularly with medium to large fabrications.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and good judgment in complex inspection scenarios.
  • Confident communication skills - written and verbal.
It would be beneficial to have the following:
  • Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT), visual inspections, and dye penetrant inspection (DPI).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially spreadsheets and databases.

The role is day-shift Monday - Friday, and some overtime may be required, which is paid x1.5.Additional benefits include:
