This is a newly created post within our Estates, Facilities and Capital directorate and a great opportunity for an enthusiastic individual, with a strong estates background in project delivery and maintenance, to take their career forward.The Trust has a number of new and significant estates led projects, consisting of new builds, refurbishments, lifecycle and backlog.The post holder will work within our Trust team to support our capital projects team in the successful delivery of projects and small works, monitoring the work of both contractors and Estates staff with regards to building maintenance and installation works, to ensure that it is in line with Trust policies and statutory and regulatory guidance.This position will not be supported for visa sponsorship. All applicants are expected to have valid right to work document to work in the UK when applying for this position.Main duties of the jobMonitor the work of both contractors and Estates staff with regards to building maintenance and installation works, to ensure that it is in line with Trust policies and legal guidance.Ensure that work is carried out to the appropriate standard including:

  • Degree (or HNC plus equivalent knowledge and substantial experience) in a relevant engineering related discipline, including knowledge or related legislation and statutory requirements.

  • Experience in the installation and commissioning of building services and systems

  • Good working knowledge of Health & Safety in a construction context, including CDM (Construction Design & Management) and Health & Safety procedures for aspects of construction work.
  • Computer literate with good basic IT skills.
  • Knowledge of legislation and codes of practice relevant to the post.
  • Good planning, organisational and problem solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of engineering contracting.
  • Demonstrable proficiency in Microsoft Office
