We are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our client's multidisciplinary consultancy, contributing to the delivery of complex infrastructure and masterplanning projects across the UK. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing projects, mentoring junior staff, supporting business development activities, and ensuring the highest standards of technical excellence and quality across all design and delivery phases.The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary project teams across sectors such as regeneration, aviation, infrastructure, industrial, and data centres, ensuring designs are optimised, sustainable, and fully compliant with planning and statutory regulations.This position is a full-time role, based in London 3 days per week. This contract role falls INSIDE IR35.Technical Responsibilities·Deliver masterplanning infrastructure design for site-wide and on-plot developments.
·Carry out Flood Risk Assessments, drainage strategies, and SuDS designs.
·Use Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, Navisworks, and Infraworks for modelling and clash detection.
·Design roads and access routes to MfS and DMRB standards.
·Liaise with authorities for statutory approvals (S104, S106, S38, S278).
·Ensure quality control, risk management, and value engineering are embedded in design processes.
·Provide technical leadership throughout the planning, design, and construction phases.
·Lead client meetings and respond to planning and technical queries during and after submission.What We're Looking For·Chartered or near-chartered Civil Engineer (ICE or equivalent)
·Extensive experience in infrastructure and masterplanning projects, preferably across multiple sectors
·Strong technical expertise in drainage, highways, and utility coordination
·Proficient in Civil 3D, MicroDrainage (Windes), Navisworks, Infraworks
·Proven leadership, team management, and mentoring capabilities
·Strong commercial awareness and project financial management skills
·Confident communicator with excellent client-facing skills
