- Lead the development, implementation, and continual improvement of a Trust-wide estates function, applying expertise in estates and facilities management, capital delivery, and strategic asset planning to support safe, sustainable, and effective healthcare environments.
- Ensure Trust-wide compliance with all relevant statutory, legislative, and regulatory requirements through highly technical oversight of engineering services and infrastructure, acting as the Responsible and Authorised Person across critical systems.
- Lead projects from inception to completion, managing highly complex construction and engineering schemes. Develop, implement and review Trust-wide estates and compliance policies, including those that enable delivery of long-term infrastructure and decarbonisation goals.
- Provide robust internal and external audit and assurance for estates compliance, risk management, performance, and policy implementation across the Trusts estate portfolio.

- oMaster's Degree / equivalent in an appropriate discipline or equivalent relevant experience
- oTechnical, construction and project management skills
- oHealth and Safety knowledge e.g. Health and Safety and Work regulations
- oLegislation with regard to statutory and Health and Safety with regard to the Estate including COSHH, asbestos and legionella
- oGood working knowledge and understanding of environmental sustainability issues and carbon reduction
- oMechanical/electrical engineering qualification
- oEstates management background and experience of operational estates management within a hospital environment
- oSignificant experience at a senior management level within an NHS estates/ facilities professional role
- oExperience in planning and financial management
- oExperience of managing teams/people/budgets
- oExperience of working with NHS
- oEstates Hospital Technical Memorandums and Building Notes
- oExperience of development of strategies and polices
- oKnowledge of risk management techniques
- oAbility to use AutoCAD
- oHighly developed and effective negotiating and influencing skills and ability to develop and maintain constructive relationships with professional and managerial disciplines.
- oHighly developed management skills and the ability to maximise resource utilisation
- oHighly developed and effective verbal and written communication skills
- oAbility to assimilate analyse and present complex problems, identify necessary action, make recommendations and ensure actions are implemented. Understanding of risk assessment principles.
- oGood Organisational skills with practical and methodical project planning and ability to manage a number of concurrent elements
- oAble to work under pressure with autonomy at Senior Management level
- oEvidence of ability to operate effectively with a variety of leadership styles as appropriate to the circumstances.

- oWelsh Language Skills are desirable levels 1 to 5 in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing in Welsh
- oSatisfactory Standard/Enhanced DBS clearance including an/a Adults and Childrens Barred List check (delete as appropriate)
