LOCATION: Birmingham - Hybrid.
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £70,000 - £90,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.We're happy to discuss flexible working. Flexible working will be part of the discussion at offer stage.PURPOSE OF THE ROLECorporate Systems supports the BBC's internal business-facing technologies such as Finance, Procurement and Treasury, HR, Learning and Scheduling and Talent Accounting.The HR Product Team are responsible for the strategy and support of HR systems at the BBC including SAP HCM, Launchpad, Contingent Worker applications, and a large number of other HR applications that underpin BBC's HR processes.
We are looking for someone with strong experience supporting HR systems to join the SAP HR Team. The role reports in to the Head of HR Product. The team work across several SAP and non SAP products including SAP HCM / Tableau / Freelance Payment Portal / SmartBook - managing roadmap, changes, incidents and 3rd line support for all systems. The individual must be highly motivated and solution focused, building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. They will ensure the delivery of the best possible service and user experience to our customers inside the BBC.WHY JOIN THE TEAMThe SAP HR team is critical to the functioning of the BBC. We ensure that the BBC's Master data system for HR data functions correctly, that correct data is supplied across the BBC and that SAP applications - e.g. Launchpad, Smartbook, Freelance Payment Portal - support the BBC's critical processes so that employees are paid, contracted and managed appropriately. We are a highly experienced team of experts who share knowledge and are hugely supportive of one another.YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:
  • Stakeholder Management - Working with core business areas to define requirements and priorities.
  • Supplier Management - Holding key suppliers and Support Partners to account.
  • Maintaining Product Roadmaps and managing delivery Pipeline
  • Management of SAP HCM and Integrations as a Tier One application, the BBC's master Data system for HR Data.
  • Management of Tier 2 systems - e.g. Opentext, Tableau, Epi-use.
  • Line management of the SAP HR Product Team - Ensure the team are align to best practices and principles, Coach and empower the team to deliver great work in a critical set of systems.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
  • Strong understanding and experience of the SAP technology landscape and emerging SAP technologies with a proven track record of design and delivery in the SAP product environment.
  • Experience of providing technical and solution leadership and working with professional delivery resources, both internally and external.
  • Demonstrable experience of delivery of change, roadmap management and incident and problem management in an SAP landscape.
  • Proven Stakeholder management skillset
  • Experience of managing 3rd parties effectively
DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
  • Strong communication and written skills to submit business cases and support senior leader discussions.
  • People Management experience
  • Demonstrable negotiating and influencing skills on potentially contentious issues, whilst maintaining positive working relationships.
  • Ability to use data to drive decision making and influence stakeholder opinion.
