If you are ready to join an international company with talent around the world, and want to make a real impact, we want you on our team.What You'll Do:As an Automotive Engine Test Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, driving to deliver safe, timely, cost effective and quality testing at our state-of-the-art Mechanical Testing Facility. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life. The European Testing Facility at Hazelwood runs a 24/7 operation which predominantly develops and tests additives for fuels & lubricants for the automotive industry. A wide variety of tests are run to determine the performance of our additive packages in Heavy Duty and Passenger Car engine lubricants and fuels. Your work will directly impact test development, planning and scheduling of key engine tests, analysing test results, problem solving and delivering reports for key customers.What We're Looking For:
- Planning and scheduling tests ensuring most efficient use of time and resource
- Analyse and review test data, looking for boundary condition and repeatability checking
- Provide timely results and reports to the requirements of our customers
- Understand the needs of the customer and develop new tests to improve test efficiency and differentiation
- Represent Lubrizol at key industry or internal project meetings
- Ensure compliance with current legislation and ISO standards with respect to quality
- Interact appropriately with the work group, engineers and customers
- Suggesting improvements and the implementation of these improvements with a proactive and creative approach
- Adhere to and promoting compliance with company HS&E policies, practices and procedures and suggest areas for improvement
- Degree qualified in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering
- Proven professional experience in Mechanical/Automotive engineering, automotive powertrain testing experience preferred
- Deep knowledge of internal combustion engine technology, both diesel and gasoline
- Computer literate with the ability to use Microsoft Office packages
- Awareness of safety legislation, procedures and ISO quality systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the business
- Ideally working towards Incorporated/Chartered Engineer status
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the automotive industry
