Rate: £20 per hour + Accommodation CoveredI'm currently supporting a highly respected, design-led upholstery studio based in High Barnet, North London, in their search for an experienced Upholsterer to join their team on a short-term basis.Renowned for their craftsmanship and long-standing relationships with high-profile commercial clients, this business is entering a particularly busy project period and is looking for a skilled professional to assist with reupholstery of furniture at scale.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a tight-knit, quality-focused workshop environment where your skills will be fully utilised and appreciated.What's on Offer:£20 per hour for the right candidateAccommodation provided for those travelling from outside LondonFree parking on-siteEasily accessible location - 15-minute walk from High Barnet station (Northern Line)Start immediately, contract running until early SeptemberThe Project:Reupholstering approximately 30 sofas and 400 chairs to a commercial standardWorking with a wide range of fabrics and industrial sewing equipmentHigh-output project with tight but achievable deadlinesYou'll be working independently, with support available when requiredIdeal Candidate Profile:10+ years of professional upholstery experience - ideally in a commercial or high-volume environmentConfident in cutting, sewing, and reupholstering using industrial machineryExcellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality finishStrong time management skills - able to stay productive under pressureComfortable working independently and managing your own workloadDay-to-Day Responsibilities:Interpreting project briefs and preparing materials accordinglyCutting and sewing upholstery fabrics with accuracy and efficiencyExecuting upholstery work to a high standard, both structurally and aestheticallyMaintaining a clean, safe, and organised working areaLiaising with the project manager to track progress and flag any challengesIf you are an experienced upholsterer available at short notice, and looking to take on a well-paid, high-profile contract role, I'd love to hear from you.Please apply with your CV and, if possible, a few images of your work.
