You will be required to attend court to ensure the most appropriate Order is in place i.e. when considering revoking Care Orders or converting Care Orders to Special Guardianship Orders. There are also a small number of Family and Friends Foster Carers supervised in the team with the aim of securing Special Guardianship Orders for the children in their care.You will have a caseload of children who are Children Looked After, and you will need to have knowledge of the Children Looked After processes and procedures.You will have excellent assessment skills and the ability to engage with children and their families effectively, with a focus on wellbeing and safety of the child.
