About the RoleA well-established and growing City-based firm of Chartered Accountants is seeking a dedicated and ambitious Part-Qualified Accountant with at least two years of experience in public practice. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for the right individual to work closely with the firm's partners, gaining exposure to all areas of practice management.You will play a key role in supporting a varied client portfolio, while developing your technical skills and business acumen in a supportive and professional environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPreparation of statutory financial statements in accordance with UK accounting standardsAssisting in the planning and execution of audits for a range of clientsDirect communication with clients to gather information, resolve queries and provide updatesManaging day-to-day client relationships and providing high-quality servicePreparation and submission of corporation and personal tax returnsAssisting in tax planning and advisory projects under supervision of the partnersSupporting the firm's senior staff and partners with practice management dutiesEnsuring compliance with all relevant legislation and internal proceduresRequired Skills and ExperiencePart-qualified ACCA (ideally having completed audit and tax modules)Minimum of 2 years' experience in a UK public practice accounting firmStrong technical knowledge of accounting, audit and taxationHigh level of numeracy and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent interpersonal skills, with the confidence to liaise directly with clientsStrong organisational and time-management abilitiesProficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel in particular)Desirable AttributesAmbitious and career-focused, with an interest in developing toward partnershipProactive, with a willingness to take initiative and ownership of tasksEagerness to learn and contribute to firm-wide developmentA professional attitude and commitment to maintaining high standards
