Our client, a leading college in Uxbridge, is looking for an enthusiastic Lecturer in Travel and Tourism (Aviation) to join their successful team. You will teach a range of travel and tourism courses, specialising in aviation, to predominantly 16-19-year-old learners from Level 1 up to Level 5.You'll work closely with local employers around Heathrow Airport, preparing students for both higher education and direct entry into the travel and aviation sector. The college offers a supportive environment and is committed to your professional growth, including fully funded teacher training if you're new to education.Key Responsibilities - Travel and Tourism Lecturer
- Deliver engaging lessons across Travel & Tourism courses, with a focus on aviation, from Level 1 to Level 5
- Motivate and support learners, helping them achieve their best and progress to further study or employment
- Contribute to curriculum development and the creation of innovative learning resources
- Assess, track, and provide feedback on student progress
- Support and participate in college events, employer engagement, and enrichment activities
- Travel to other college sites as required
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject (degree highly desirable)
- Experience working in the travel industry, including aviation sector knowledge
- Some teaching or training experience (full teacher training provided if needed)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate 16-19-year-old vocational learners
- Willingness to travel between sites and collaborate with employers and colleagues
- Experience teaching or assessing in further or higher education
- Experience developing learning materials and resources
- Knowledge of current developments in the travel, tourism, and aviation industries
