HGV / Van Technician required in Grays, EssexJoin a leading company committed to excellence in commercial vehicle maintenance. Our client prides themselves on a supportive work environment and are dedicated to the professional growth of their team members.As an HGV / Van Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of their fleet. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy vehicles and vans, ensuring they meet safety and compliance standards.They are looking for someone with a passion for vehicle engineering and a commitment to delivering top-notch service who is flexible towards working on both HGV's and Vans, they are also happy to consider Car Technicians that are looking to make a move into the commercial side of the industry too.Details & Benefits for this HGV / Van Technician role include:
  • Hours: 45 hours per week.
  • Rotating Shift Pattern:
  • Early Shift: 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM (Week 1).
  • Late Shift: 12:30 PM to 10:00 PM (Week 2).
  • Hourly Rate: up to £23.03 = Annual Salary: £53,890.20 p.a.
  • Overtime: Is paid at Time and a Half, there are plenty of opportunities to work overtime i.e. additional shifts, early starts or later finishes to the scheduled shifts.
  • Saturdays are your choice to work - if you chose to work them this is also paid at Time and a Half and operates 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Candidate Requirements as a HGV Technician:
  • Ideally a Level 3 qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Experience with both vans and HGVs preferred (the work is a 50/50 split).
  • They will welcome applications from Car Technicians looking to transition into Commercial work.
