- Competent person nominated and present on each site where OTP is being utilised.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable standards and POS management systems on-site that impact all operational roles.
- Shall not be engaged in, or responsible for, any other site safety critical duties unless approved.
- Hold access to appropriate and competent resources in relation to OTP operations, including lift planning and adjacent line open (ALO) working.
- Make sure all documents are collected and completed correctly, and submitted on time.
- Ensure that all Explore Rail, Health, Safety and Compliance procedures and policies are fully implemented.
- Managing emergency planning/contingency planning arrangements, consistent with the Principal Contractors’ arrangements.
- Follow and adhere to the Network Rail Standard (Fatigue Risk Management) and the company’s fatigue management policy.
- Ensure that all personnel are treated fairly and equally and never intimidated to complete work that is unsafe or outside regulations.
- Promote continuous improvement and become involved in new ideas as requested.
- Act as an Ambassador for the company.
- Adheres to Highway rules and company policy (If driving).
- Be prepared to work on to ensure tasks are completed.
- Must have previous OTP operational experience in the Rail Industry sector.
- Current or expired Machine/Crane Controller.
- OTP Supervisors, Lead or Foreman OTP Operator.
- Must be a direct employee of Explore Rail.
- Excellent Customer Service and the ability to communicate clearly with all personnel.
- Have the skill, knowledge and experience needed to undertake their duties related to the type and complexity of the project.
- Have good literacy skills and be able to record information accurately on all relevant documentation as business and client needs dictate.
- Be prepared to support problem-solving when requested.
- Pay attention to detail and inform the company or client of any mistakes or concerns.
- Ability to engage with people at all levels of the business in a courteous, professional and competent manner.
- Must hold a valid PTS card and Virtual Card endorsed with AC and/or DC lines (DCCR).
- Hold a valid Alcohol, Drugs and Medical Certificate issued by an approved medical provider.
- Clean driving License.
