Solicitor or Associate Level | High Net Worth Clients | Legal 500 Ranked Team | Hybrid WorkingA highly regarded law firm is looking to recruit a Private Client Solicitor to join its growing team in Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity for a lawyer with 2–6 years' PQE to develop their career in a Legal 500 recognised team, working with a quality client base that includes high net worth individuals and owner-managed businesses.Depending on experience, you will join at either Solicitor (up to 4 PQE) or Associate (4+ PQE) level.The RoleYou will handle a broad range of Private Client matters with support from experienced colleagues, while contributing to the team's continued success. Your role will involve:
- Managing your own caseload, advising on wills, trusts, estate planning, inheritance tax mitigation and powers of attorney
- Handling the administration of estates, including more complex and high-value matters
- Acting as a trusted adviser, maintaining long-term relationships with private clients
- Liaising with colleagues and third-party professionals on matters such as succession planning, foreign assets and HMRC compliance
- Attending STEP and networking events to build your professional profile and connections
- Collaborating with team members on legal research and knowledge-sharing
- At least 2 years’ post-qualification experience in Private Client law, with exposure to wills, estates, trusts and inheritance tax planning
- Experience working with high-net-worth clients and business owners is advantageous
- An interest in or working towards STEP membership would be beneficial
- A good understanding of how Private Client law interacts with Corporate, Family and Property law
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex matters clearly and with empathy
