ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for the management, upkeep, and continuous improvement of all plant facilities. Core duties will include:Overseeing service contracts and regularly evaluating the cost-effectiveness of outsourcing versus in-house service provision.Leading the planning, installation, and commissioning of facilities and energy efficiency projects, ensuring clear communication with all stakeholders throughout.Implementing and maintaining an effective system to monitor gas and electricity usage across the plant.Identifying opportunities to reduce operational costs by optimising supplier performance and delivering improvement initiatives.Essential Criteria:Applicants must meet one of the following qualifications:Hold a Higher National Diploma (HND) or equivalent in Building Services or Engineering, along with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a plant maintenance environment, orPossess at least 5 years' experience in a similar role within a plant maintenance setting or similar (manufacturing).In addition, candidates must have:Proven experience in team managementA track record of contract negotiationExperience overseeing on-site contractorsDesirable Criteria:While not required, the following qualifications and experience would be advantageous:A degree in Building Services or an Engineering disciplineBackground in plant maintenance within a continuous production environmentDemonstrated success in leading cost reduction and process improvement initiativesProject management experienceFor further information on this vacancy please apply via the link below or contact Jack Groves for a confidential discussion via Vanrath.Highly recommend the service offered by Chris - professional, efficient and friendly, making the process of obtaining a new contract very pleasant.
