Contract Type: Full-TimeSupply Desk is partnering with a welcoming primary school in Chesham seeking an experienced and dedicated Reception Teacher to join their outstanding team. This is a full-time role with the potential for the right candidate to secure a permanent position.About the Role:
  • Deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons tailored to the diverse needs of Reception-aged children
  • Plan and prepare creative learning activities that support all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
  • Foster a nurturing and positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and confidence
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to promote holistic development and wellbeing
  • Use observational assessments to monitor progress and inform future planning, ensuring every child’s individual needs are met
  • Promote positive behaviour through consistent routines and clear, kind communication
  • Encourage social, emotional, and communication skills development through play-based learning and collaborative activities
The ideal candidate will:
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management abilities
  • Experience teaching in a primary school setting
  • Energetic and passionate educator who embraces the school’s commitment to achieving the best outcomes for every pupil
  • Well-developed organisational and communication skills
