This is a multi-faceted role where you will work on key initiatives in a highly regulated space. At Cohesity you’ll have the opportunity to make a big impact and create high value.HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE:
  • Monitor and assess compliance with European data privacy, technology, and AI regulations, laws, and policies and stay at the forefront of legal developments in privacy and related global regulations that impact our products and customers;
  • Conduct privacy impact assessments and data protection audits;
  • Manage data subject access requests;
  • Work closely with the commercial legal team on privacy and AI issues that arise during a customer negotiation and serve as an escalation point for the same;
  • Analyze data flows, including creating data maps, and identify potential privacy risks;
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation on privacy and other regulated practices and issues;
  • Assist in the development and implementation of privacy and AI policies and procedures;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data protection measures are integrated into all business processes;
  • Checking product releases in light of regulatory requirements;
  • Stay updated on evolving privacy and AI laws and best practices;
  • Provide support during privacy and security incidents and investigations;
  • Support customer facing teams in sales and customer success to handle customer questions on data privacy compliance;
WE'D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
  • 2+ years of experience in data privacy laws, regulations, and emerging technologies;
  • Eagerness to learn new areas, regulations, technologies;
  • Strong writing and analytical skills;
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills;
  • Solid communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate privacy concepts and requirements to a variety of stakeholders;
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team; and
  • Experience working with, and advising on, AI-powered products and services;
  • Bachelor of Laws, Juris Doctor, or equivalent degree in Europe
  • Certifications in privacy (e.g., CIPP, CIPM)
  • Understanding of data security principles and practices
  • Experience working with customer facing teams like sales and customer success
