Due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for a Senior System Engineer-Chassis Motion Control. to be based at our customer’s site in Gaydon.Our Embedded Systems Solutions department (ESS) encompasses all activities outlined under the Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) process framework, including systems engineering, software engineering, coding, and all levels of functional testing. Beyond core development, ESS also integrates critical supporting processes such as project management, risk assessment, functional safety, and cybersecurity, ensuring compliance with ASPICE standards and delivering reliable, secure, and high-quality embedded systems & solutions.The Role:We are seeking a highly motivated experienced Systems Engineer with a specialization in the Vehicle Motion DomainArea of Responsibility
  • Working as a member of the Systems? Squad, the successful individual will have tasks assigned / prioritised by the System Product Owner and;
  • Will be responsible for initial decomposing, deriving and allocating system and sub-system requirements, ensuring full bi-lateral traceability across the V cycle.
  • Will be responsible to for Test Case Authoring and conducting System Level Verification on both rigs and vehicle.
  • Will support the Product Owner / Group leader in both Route Cause Analysis and permanent corrective actions.
  • Will support the creation of system safety case with applicable Functional Safety Work Products and Standards.
Knowledge / Experience· Automotive or Electrical Engineering Degree with a minimum of 5 years Industry Experience (Automotive preferred)· Experience in Automotive Chassis / Motion Systems and associated features, although strong candidates with relevant system experience from other industries such as aerospace will also be considered.· Some experience of delivering complex mechatronic systems from concept to production.· Demonstratable experience of delivering complex projects to quality, cost and time.· You will have a strong background in systems engineering and requirement management, along with change management tools and processes, version control, control strategy documentation.· You will have demonstrable experience in Jira toolsets, including but not limited to Confluence and Lucid.· Experience in delivery of safety critical active control systems and associated software to ISO26262 standards.· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong influencing and engagement skills.· Proficiency in issue resolution management, including both methodology and application e.g. 8D, Fishbone.· Full UK driving licenseDesirable· Previous experience in systems delivery and knowledge of ADAS Sensing Systems.· Knowledge of vehicle dynamics particularly in the active systems domain.· Experience delivering complex integrated control systems for a large-scale OEM.· Experience in MBSE methods and toolsets (MSOSA or similar)· Hands on vehicle testing in the active systems domain including subjective and objective test methods.· Understanding of automotive networking, diagnostics and fault handling techniques, and related system development tools (CANalyzer, ASL, CANape, etc.)· Previous experience in JLR and their technology/product delivery processes would be an advantage.· Recognised industry driving qualifications e.g. JLR’s Class 3 / 4PG etc·In return for bringing your expertise to our business we offer a competitive salary along with excellent benefits including:· Pension Scheme – We match employee contribution up to 5% of salary· 25 Days’ Holiday· Private Health Care· Tata Jaguar Land Rover Privilege Scheme - up to 20% off new JLR vehicles· Group Income Protection· Health Assured – Employee Assistance Program· Group Life Assurance· Health Shield – Private Health Cash PlanIf you are passionate about bringing innovation to the projects you work on and want to join a global company, then this is the place for you.Tata Technologies: Engineering a better world.About Company:#ComeJoinUs in #EngineeringABetterWorld.
